Storytelling - Storybird

Using storytelling when teaching children and adults is a valuable strategy. Stories allow learners to use their imagination more fully. This creativity process encourages free thinking and formation of innovative ideas. Learners are introduced to the intricacies of language that can be difficult to teach outright without a solid foundation. The flow of a story as the plot unfolds and the characters are developed also introduces learners to new words and solidifies their pronunciation. Many stories can be used to support the virtues that are important in society, home and school. Stories that develop character traits such as courage, wisdom, honesty, kindness and open-mindedness can be used to set the stage for emulation and can deepen understanding the subject. An engaging story draws all the learners' attention. So, here is our story created in Storybird, voiced by me and my friend Gözde Özendi. Enjoy!
