Sutori

Teachers can use Sutori to share pre-made stories, construct their own, or create assignments that require students to build multimedia-rich stories. It is quite useful and fun! Here's my Sutori about All About Me for students to share information about themselves.

Thinglink

Thinglink is a digital tool that provides users with the ability to turn any image into an interactive graphic. You can create multiple "hot spots" on specific parts of the image and turn that image into a multimedia launcher. Including videos, audios or any link to any website with the click of a button. Second Life - Machinima

Second Life is an internet-based virtual world in which people interact with one another via avatars and engage in a range of activities. They can explore the world, meet and form friendships with others and even exchange goods.  Where does education fit into all of this? This virtual world enables people to undertake activities which include virtual meetings, training sessions and teaching via a virtual school or university. Many universities around the world have built an online version of their campus within Second Life and use this to give lectures, teach new skills or to enable students to work together on projects. Many students are comfortable with social interaction online such as social networking sites, virtual worlds and games. Pixton

While Using Pixton, students can create engaging and detailed comics for any subject area. There is a plethora of backgrounds, characters and props. It is an amazing tool to use retelling stories, changing endings to stories, and sharing with each other. One problem is the price and unlocked features but hopefully Pixton will come up with a reasonable pricing! You can see  my comic  on Pixton, too! Enjoy!

Voki

Voki enables you to create an avatar in your own voice using a talking character. You can customize your Voki to look like you or take on the identity of different characters such as animals, monsters. It is a really good way to entertain your students or help out the introverted ones! Here’s my Voki clown, enjoy!

Canva

Canva allows users to easily create graphic design elements like infographics, posters and more. In fact, it’s so easy, even non-art teachers can use it! The goal is that design can be easier to grasp, especially for those who are excited about creative communication. Here’s my first try on Canva!

Padlet

Padlet is a web application featuring a virtual wall where students can collaborate and post media. This can be useful for teaching and learning to encourage collaboration and sharing. Padlet can be used to enhance activities that require students to discuss ideas, share content and demonstrate problem solving. The ability to capture, store and share information can help students reflect on their learning and provide academic staff with qualitative information.   It can be considered an electronic form of butcher's paper, where "walls" replace the paper. Seesaw

Seesaw is the Learning Journal provides opportunities for students and teachers to really think outside the box. Students can show their work and thought processes in real time by submitting a video of themselves working through a math problem, snapping a picture of a paragraph they wrote, recording themselves reading a poem, or uploading a file to demonstrate their learning. Encourage kids to submit a series of images along with notes that tell the story that connects them. Or let kids collaborate with each other using peer-to-peer feedback to offer suggestions on writing content, scientific hypotheses, or creative ideas.
